These terms should cover almost every product that we create. You may find definitions for products that don't even appear on our website. If you find one missing, let us know... we'll add more!

Can your church or organization recieve tax-exempt status when ordering on WordMusic.com?
Yes! All customers outside of Tennessee will automatically order tax free. If you are in Tennessee, all requests must be in writing and faxed or mailed to our Customer Service department. All requests are subject to approval. Approval may take up to 2 weeks after documentation has been received. Please fax or mail us a copy of your Tennessee state issued tax exemption certification, contact name, business/organization name, phone number and email address. Special Request (fomerly Print on Demand):
What is Special Requst?
Special Request (formerly known as Print on Demand) is a viable means of continuing to offer printed music after demand slows and makes traditional reprints difficult. Music is digitally scanned and saved as a pdf file, then upon order, Word Music will print your copies on a high speed digital printer, bind them, and ship them to you.
What does Special Request product look like?
Special Request product is as close to the appearance of the original product as possible. Anthems include color covers and are stapled. Choral books also feature the original 4-color covers, and all books are perfect bound (flat spine) with no staples, regardless of page count. There is a subtle difference in print quality because of the scanning process, so Special Request titles may not have the same clarity when compared side by side to a press-printed book, but the difference is negligible and will not hinder the user.
We are currently offering Word Music choral books, anthems, orchestrations, director/teacher resources, accompaniment trax and listening CDs in this program (sorry, no bulk CDs or practice trax). Consumer print products (vocal, piano and instrumental folios) are NOT available through Special Request at this time.
Not at this time. Out of Print titles must be re-licensed before they can go into the Special Request program. Our licensing department is working from a priority list, but we cannot give you an ETA on any specific title or even promise that it will eventually be a part of the program. The GOOD news is that choral books and anthems currently active in the system will no longer go out of print, but will be converted to Special Request if/when they no longer meet minimum reprint requirements.
The time it takes to create, bind, and ship Special Request product varies based on seasonal demand. This can range from a few days when demand is low to a few weeks when demand is the highest. If Special Request product is needed by a specific date, please call a Word Music representative at 1.888.324.9673. Expediting shipping will not change the time it takes to create, bind, and ship a Special Request order.
Our vendor uses UPS ground service as a rule.

No. Due to the "on demand" nature of this program, no returns are accepted.

We are fortunate to have ongoing relationships with many of them. We desire to invest in these individuals by supporting their creative endeavors and by being a resource to further develop their abilities. Because of this, at this time Word Music is not accepting unsolicited submissions for choral, praise team, instrumental or solo music. The demands of our publications schedules make it impossible for us to offer feedback or critiques of unsolicited materials.

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, it can be returned within 60 days for full credit. Simply call our Customer Service Department toll free at 888-483-0023 to obtain instructions and return authorization.
Remember, you must call within 60 days of the date your order was originally shipped to qualify your return and secure return authorization. Failure to do so may jeopardize proper credit to your account.
