Hailing from the great state of South Dakota, Ashley traveled afar to attend Belmont University for Music Business. When she's not changing the world (one choral club at a time), she's attending concerts, drinking coffee, or rooting for her favorite NASCAR driver.
Chris Small, a Georgia native, arrived at Word Music after wrapping up his B.B.A in Music Business from Belmont University. He has been in choirs since the age of 6 and loves music and worship with a passion! Garrett is a native Texan that made his way to Word Music after graduating with a Music and Entertainment Marketing degree from Baylor University. When he's not diving into choral music, Garrett likes photography, exercising, and going to concerts!
Michael Schwalbe hails from the middle of nowhere, also known as Decatur, IL, but calls Nashville, TN his real home. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Belmont University's Music Business program, and when he isn't extolling the benefits of a Choral Club membership, he can either be found glued to his computer screen or moonlighting as the frontman for a Christ-focused progressive metal group.
Justin was born and raised in Nashville TN. He attended college at Middle Tennessee State University and has a BA degree in music business. He's been working for Word Music for 5 years, and can't wait to see what Word has to offer for the next 5. In his spare time he enjoys hanging out with his wife, Rose, of 6 years and helping out at his church, Grace Church of the Nazarene in Columbia, TN. He also enjoys attending the next great concert (especially at the Ryman), photography, and a good movie showing at the theater.
Geoff comes to Word Music after spending three years in the trenches of office equipment sales. He is originally from Springfield, Illinois and moved to Nashville weeks after graduating magna cum laude from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Music Business. Given his southward progress thus far, he fully expects to make it to Costa Rica by retirement.
Rod comes to Word Music after spending the past 25 years in full time music ministry positions in GA, IN, CO, and TN. His background includes directing, teaching, arranging, writing & singing. He founded The West Tennessee Mass Choir in 1996 which released two projects and sang at many music festivals and conferences around the country. Rod has a heart and strong passion for music ministry. He enjoys helping directors find the perfect song or musical for their needs. When Rod isn’t working in music, he enjoys watching and going to Indiana University Basketball games, playing tennis or spending time with friends but most of all family. He has two children, Kara and Landon, and most recently grandson Hudson.
Katie is a Tennessee native who has recently graduated from Belmont University's Music Business program. Since she can remember she's been singing in and accompanying choirs of all shapes and sizes, so you can bet on getting a knowledgeable and compassionate friend on the line when you call! When she's not working on Music Row for Word Music, you can find her out at shows enjoying Nashville's limitless musical talents or at the dog park with her adorable Boston Terrier companion, Victor. She's extremely excited about learning more about the ever changing music industry and all the ways God works to show his love through music and fellowship.
Born and bred as a Nashville native, Blake did not have to travel too far from the nest to attend Belmont University. There he worked to obtain a degree in Music Business which has enabled him to begin a career within the music industry. When he is not hard at work in his cubicle he enjoys spending time at the gym, cheering on the local sports teams, lounging on the couch with a movie, or finding cause for celebration!
